Can a resident drop off?

At this time FTK Group does not accept items from private individuals. They encourage you to use a recycling program established through the items manufacturer, a local retailer, or with your municipality.

Will you service and pick up from our business?

Yes, FTK Group sends trained employees to collect and securely transport materials from the clients’ place of business to FTK Group secure processing facility. Clients are able to transport materials to the facility with a scheduled appointment if they choose to do so; FTK Group is located off of Interstate 95 in Hanover, Maryland.

Do we have to supply our own paper shredding containers?

For document destruction, FTK Group places lockable collection containers throughout a facility with different sizes and styles available to meet a company’s specific needs. For all other materials, FTK Group provides flexibility with item collection.

We only have a small amount of materials, will you service us?

FTK Group creates a customized collection schedule to fit the exact needs of any organization. Collections can be as often as several times a week or as few as once a year. No matter the size of the job or the company, FTK Group provides its clients with secure electronics recycling and document destruction services.

Are there any fees?

FTK Group offers an affordable pricing structure based on the weight and/or volume of the materials and details regarding item pick up. Additional services provided include: the disconnection of CPUs, monitors and printers, documentation of the destruction, and asset tracking of the materials among many other services. Do you accept hazardous materials?

FTK Group does not accept bio-hazardous items, items containing liquids, hazardous waste, liquid fuels, or items containing Freon (refrigerators, dehumidifiers, air conditioners). To recycle these items FTK Group recommends that consumers contact their local waste facility to find out the policies regarding the disposal of those items.

Will you provide documentation?

All clients' will receive a Certificate of Recycling when complete. Depending on service requirements an organization may receive a Certificate of Destruction when their product or information is destroyed.

Is the process secure?

FTK Group adheres to the most stringent security standards. For the clients’ protections, all items are collected and transported to FTK Group secure processing facility. Learn more about FTK Group Security Processes.

Do you recycle?

FTK Group is committed to a landfill free environment. All commodities resulting from our programs are sent for recycling.

Do you charge for equipment?

No, containers are provided free of charge.

Do you give tours?

We do not usually provide tours due to the sensitive nature of our clients' materials.
